Course Overview

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations – Site Carpentry is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and experience in construction site carpentry. This qualification is suitable for practicing carpenters.

This NVQ provides formal recognition of practicing as a site carpenter.

Your NVQ will be assessed using the product of your work e.g. contract documents. Your knowledge will be assessed using professional discussion or written reflective account.

Entry Requirement

The qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role. Learners must be aged 16 or above. The learner must be working as a Joiner or Site Carpenter.

Courses Length

6-8 weeks.
Depend on how quickly the learner can gather the relevant evidence.

Assessment

The learner will be assessed in their workplace in a variety of ways, such as evidence generated from the workplace.

The qualification includes a selection of mandatory units. No matter which pathway the learner chooses; they must also gain the minimum amount of credit from the selection of optional units.
